“At My Fitted Bedroom, for years we’ve designed and installed complete bespoke fitted furniture solutions, that are designed, made-to-order and expertly fitted by our installers. For many UK homeowners, a complete room design can often be the best solution. They may not have any wardrobes at all and need bespoke fitted wardrobes and clever bedroom layouts to provide valuable storage, fill awkward corners or alcoves in rooms, or basically completely transform how a room works day-to-day because freestanding furniture just isn’t as good at maximising storage as a fitted bedroom.

Is it possible to update the appearance of fitted wardrobes without replacing the entire wardrobe?

The good news? In many cases, the answer is yes. Replacing wardrobe or fitted kitchen doors is a much cheaper, easier way to dramatically modernise your room, transforming dated furniture to create a modern-looking room.

It’s a really fantastic option when the existing furniture is still fit-for-purpose, but the exterior look needs a facelift.

Like with the My Fitted Bedroom design service, the first stage of buying doors from us is that we will arrange a personalised consultation and our experts will help you make the right decision. We can still provide a fully fitted wardrobe solution if this is the best option. However, if you’re happy with your current storage arrangement and the built-in furniture itself is in good condition, replacing the doors can deliver a stunning bedroom transformation for significantly less investment.

It’s important to note, though, that not every fitted wardrobe is suitable for replacement doors. Some might have been designed with bespoke dimensions, meaning replacement doors aren’t always available in compatible sizes. Having said that, our doors can be made to almost any size, so we can usually find a way to transform most bedrooms and kitchens. Our design team will assess your existing furniture and advise whether replacement doors are a viable option.
