Could your home be hiding the perfect walk-in wardrobe?

There’s nothing quite like seeing real projects in real homes, so here’s four of the ways our designers have turned spare rooms into practical dressing rooms packed with bespoke storage and transformed unused corners into beautifully organised walk-in wardrobes that make getting ready feel calmer, quicker and genuinely enjoyable.

Whether you’re tired of sharing wardrobe space, dreaming of a calmer morning routine, or finally have a spare room to transform, a walk-in wardrobe is about far more than somewhere to hang clothes. It’s about creating a space that’s designed entirely around the way you live.

Whatever your reason for wanting a more organised dressing area, behind every beautifully designed walk-in wardrobe is a space shaped around real life.

From cluttered box room to a harmonious dressing space for two

This was once an unused box room in our customer’s home in Harrogate, now it’s a practical dressing room with enough space for ‘his’ and ‘hers’ dressing areas. By understanding exactly what both people wanted from the space, each side of the room has been created to turn everyday organisation into a luxury experience.

Every handbag, pair of shoes and folded jumper finally has a dedicated place, while integrated lighting means there’s no searching for favourite outfits on dark mornings. The central island and upholstered seating add practicality and refinement, and the premium finish of our cashmere-coloured furniture makes the room feels calm, organised, and effortlessly personal.

Creating a cosy walk-in wardrobe in a loft room with sloping ceilings

To make more of a home’s space is one of the biggest reasons homeowners choose fitted furniture over freestanding, and this dressing space is the perfect example why. This home in Gloucester benefitted from a dormer bedroom with a stylish en-suite but no storage. Every element of the new walk-in wardrobe was carefully designed around the architecture of the room, creating elegant storage that feels seamless, spacious, and perfectly tailored to the way the space is used.

Bespoke corner walk-in wardrobe for that Boutique Hotel feel

With the luxury of a spare bedroom, this homeowner in Dudley chose to create something truly personal – a dedicated dressing room designed to bring organisation, comfort and a little everyday indulgence to her routine. Open shelving, generous hanging space, and carefully planned storage for shoes, handbags, and accessories ensure everything is beautifully displayed and easy to access. The soft neutral palette enhances the feeling of calm and space, creating an elegant retreat where getting ready becomes less of a task and more of a pleasure. It’s a room designed not just to store clothing, but to complement a busy lifestyle.

Big solutions for small spaces

You don’t need a large room to create a dressing room. With bespoke fitted furniture, even the most compact rooms can be reimagined to provide exceptional storage and style. This recent Oxfordshire project is a perfect example. Created within a modest footprint, every shelf, drawer, hanging rail and display area has been carefully planned to maximise functionality without compromising on elegance. The integrated dressing table adds a dedicated space for daily routines, while the combination of open storage and soft neutral finishes keeps the room feeling bright, spacious, and beautifully organised. Proof that with thoughtful design and handcrafted furniture, a small room can still fulfil a very big dream.
